Point La Vista Annual Meeting and Elections
Want to serve your community in a greater capacity? Point La Vista POA is looking for people to serve on the Board of Directors! Nominations for serving on the 2025/2026 Board are open through April 29. The election for board members will be at our annual meeting on June 28th at the Malakoff Community Center, and ballots will be mailed in the coming weeks. The POA has approximately 6 meetings per year where you will need to be physically present, always on Saturdays, and other than that, most of your duties will be by email. You will be part of a 5-person board that will vote on decisions that affect the entire community, and we would love to have your input.
We also have opportunities to serve as a member of the Architectural Control Committee, where you will be on a team that reviews build plans from owners. In addition, we are looking for a POA Secretary. This is not a Board position, but an Officer position assigned by the Board, and is responsible for keeping the minutes of the meetings and sending them out to the owners, as well as a few other things from time to time. Time involved is minimal, and this position pays $200 a month. Applications for these positions may be made at any time.

Meeting Schedule
Regular Meeting:
The next POA Regular Board Meeting will be Saturday, May 17, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at the Pool Pavilion. Meeting agenda will be distributed closer to the date of the meeting.
Annual Meeting and Election:
The POA Annual Meeting will be held Saturday, June 28, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at the Malakoff Community Center. During this meeting, a new Board of Directors will be elected to serve a one- year term. Nominations are open now for members to serve on the Board, as well as other opportunities, listed below. Nominations will be accepted through April 30, 2025.
— Architectural Control Committee member or Chair – we usually have fewer than 10 build requests a year and the committee’s work can be done entirely through email.
— POA Secretary – usually 10 or fewer hours of work per month and pays $200 per month.
