Emerald Bay Utility

Effective January 2026, sewer services are provided by Emerald Bay Utility. You will now be billed separately for water and sewer services, with water continuing to be serviced by Lakeshore Utility.

Oncor services the power lines and provides electricity hookups.   In Texas, you may purchase your power from many different retailers.

Tarrant Regional Water District (TRWD)

TRWD is the organization that is responsible for and regulates Cedar Creek Lake. For example: They are the ones who provide approval of boat docks.

Henderson County Fire Marshal

In addition to outdoor burning rules, the Fire Marshal is where you can file a nuisance report for things like:

Accumulating rubbish, including newspapers, abandoned vehicles, refrigerators, stoves, furniture, tires, and cans

Maintaining premises in a manner that creates an unsanitary condition likely to attract or harbor mosquitoes, rodents, vermin, or disease-carrying pests

Maintaining a building in a manner that is structurally unsafe

There is a dump and recycling drop off that services Point La Vista just off Highway 31 between Malakoff and Athens.
